Dr. Nick Fuller, currently serves as the Vice President of AI and Automation at IBM Research. In this role, he leads a dynamic global team dedicated to creating agent-based technologies for the enterprise software delivery lifecycle – spanning software engineering, IT systems, and business functions – and industrial assets. Nick has 20+ years of R&D experience, culminating in differentiation of IBM’s IT Automation portfolio, launch of new modernization products for IBM and Red Hat, implementation of IBM full-stack edge computing research strategy and delivery of semiconductor innovation for 5 successive generations of CMOS technology. He has patented over 75 patents, co-authored 80 technical publications and as a recognized thought leader, routinely provides commentary on industry trends in prestigious outlets such as The Deep View, TechPro Radar, and Forbes. Nick received his Bachelor of Science in Physics and Math from Morehouse College (’97) and his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University (’02). He lives in Long Island, New York with his wife and two sons and in his personal time loves playing soccer, listening to music, travelling and writing. He is the author of Struggle and Progress.
