Andrew is the Industry Engagement Manager at ASTM International’s ASCET Center of Excellence, having joined the organization in July 2025. In his current role, Andrew is responsible for increasing awareness of and engagement with ASCET among industry stakeholders in four critical emerging technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Quantum Technology, and Semiconductors and Microelectronics. This includes representing ASCET at industry events at the national and regional levels, coordinating ASCET workshops on standards and standardization, and providing companies of all sizes with the information and resources they need to effectively participate in ASCET’s mission to advance U.S. leadership in international standardization.

With more than 30 years’ experience in trade associations, standards development organizations (SDOs), and federal government consulting, Andrew has a wide range of skills related to industry membership and engagement, communications, and standards development. He has primarily worked with technical organizations and is adept at market research, strategic planning, and conveying complex information in layman’s terms in various formats (e.g., website, social media, newsletters, magazines, journals).

Prior to joining ASTM International, Andrew primarily served in various management roles for trade associations and standards development organizations in technical industries. Most recently, Andrew was Senior Membership Manager (Americas Region) for SEMI, an international association representing the semiconductor supply chain, where he worked directly with CEOs, business managers, and engineers to engage them in critical strategic initiatives led by SEMI. Before that, Andrew was the Standards Product Manager for SAE International, where he oversaw a $10m product portfolio and collaborated with customers and other SDOs on improving standards delivery platforms and IP protection. Earlier in his career, Andrew was the Director of Communications for the Air & Waste Management Association, where he oversaw all communications activities (website, magazine, technical journal, newsletters, press) and served on the executive leadership team.

Andrew holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in European History from the University of Virginia. He also earned professional certifications as a Certified Association Executive in 2006 and an Associate Standards Professional in 2015.
